Garden Club Season Canceled

A lovely allée of cherry trees in bloom. Picture taking a stroll…

Regretfully, but unsurprisingly, the GCC Board has voted to cancel the remainder of our season due to the coronavirus pandemic which shows no signs of slowing down, but only increases in its devastating spread.

This cancellation means there will be no plant sale, April, May or June meetings, as well as other activities related to individual committees.

Especial thanks go to Georgine Feldt and Jen Lannan and their large committee for all the preparatory work they did in anticipation of our annual plant sale.

It would be wonderful to stay “in touch” via our new website. If you have any garden-related photos or information you would like to share, please send it to me at mailto:psbp@comcast.net

Even better, if you would like to create an at-home video of a “messy moment” or of what is going on in your garden, please contact me. We can upload videos to the site. (Many thanks to Amal Moamar for suggesting this idea).

Take a break from the news and restore your spirits by taking a virtual tour of two famous botanical gardens, including our own at Tower Hill and the New York Botanical Garden:

My gratitude extends to all of you for the work you have put in to making our unexpectedly truncated season so rewarding. As I write this, board members are hard at work behind the scenes preparing for next season.

We will remain in touch via the website going forward.

In the meantime, please remain safe and healthy.

Warm regards,

Sandra Conrad, President
