Fuller Gardens Field Trip!
This is a reminder about our upcoming field trip to the Fuller Gardens in Hampton NH. So far we only have one member signed up, so please RSVP soon for planning purposes.
Fuller Gardens is a public botanical garden that was once part of the summer estate of Alvan T. Fuller on the Seacoast of New Hampshire. It’s a delightful oasis situated a stone’s throw from the ocean. The gardens feature horticulture at the highest level, with thousands of rose bushes and hundreds of varieties that bloom all season long. Formal English perennial borders, a Japanese Garden and a tropical conservatory are all framed by sculpted hedges.
Our group tour is scheduled for 11 AM on June 23rd. For groups of 10 or more, the admission price is $7.50 per person. If you would like to join us please email Leann Griesinger, then mail a check for $7.50 (made out to GCC) to our treasurer, Tracy Lyne . Once Leann has the list of attendees she will email the group so that carpooling can be arranged among members.
We are still looking for a “host” to arrive about 15 minutes early to check in, present the check for the group tour, and greet GCC members as they arrive followed by the tour of these beautiful gardens. If you are interested in doing this, please contact Leann. All other arrangements will be taken care of in advance!
