Happy Summer and Things to Do and See

CONCORD MUSEUM GARDEN TOUR COMING THIS WEEKEND!

Our club members are deeply involved in the virtual Garden Tour being release this weekend. Not only are three of our member’s gardens featured, but the host is Ellen Whitney, and Tour co-chairs are Ellen along with Pat Sinton, and Marta Taylor will be doing a flower arranging demonstration at the Museum at 1pm on Saturday, June 26.

These photos show you a glimpse of the three members’ gardens — see if you can identify! — but for the full story of each extraordinary garden, tune in over the weekend or at any later date to view. The Garden Tour series will be released this weekend, June 25-27. Sign up to receive exclusive access to the Garden Tour website, and watch the series anytime during or after the event weekend.

Don’t miss this chance to support the work of the Museum, see your friends in action, and envelop yourself in the beauty and horticultural interests of six magnificent gardens!

Stop by the Milldam/Veterans Garden to see the newly renovated garden beds

This project is a collaborative effort with the Rotary Club, the Town’s Public Works Department and the Garden Club.

Three varieties of viburnum which will bring flowers, beautiful fall foliage, and berries, all things attractive to birds and pollinators, were added along with holly and re-blooming day lilies.

Help out at Gaining Ground this summer…

This year, the Garden Club provided a grant to Gaining Ground to complete their installation of  hedgerows which provide not only protection but also pollinator-friendly habitat on the farm.

If you are interested in helping out at the farm to weed the hedgerows, please contact Allison Goodwin at:
