Field trip to Blithewold Gardens -October 11th

We are excited to announce our first field trip!  Leann Griesinger will briefly review details at our upcoming meeting on Wednesday, and will need to know how many people will be attending ASAP. Also, if you would like to order a boxed lunch Leann will bring the menu to our meeting along with a sign up sheet.

Docent-guided tour of Blithewold Gardens and Mansion in Bristol, RI. This was the Van Wickle Family Country home from  1894 – 1976. Bessie Van Wickle McKee’s, landscape architect John DeWolf’s, and Marjorie Lyon’s visions for the 33-acre estate come to life in the form of gardens, plantings, pathways, lawns, and stone structures, all largely still intact from their inception.

Scheduled for Tuesday, October 11th beginning at 11 AM.
Price: $28 per person including a catered box lunch.
(Admission will be $8 per person without lunch)
