Garden Club of Concord Membership
The following by-law was voted on and approved at the Garden Club of Concord meeting in June, 2023:
Article F - New Members
1. Applications shall be made in writing or online at www.gardenclubofconcord.org and filed with the Membership Chair.
2. If an applicant does not have a mentor when he/she applies to the club, one will be assigned by the Membership Chair.
3. A candidate may be proposed by a member of the club unless that member is on the Executive Board. The member proposing the candidate must be a member in good standing of the club for a minimum of two years.
4. After reviewing the candidate's application, supporting letter if applicable, and following a two-thirds vote of approval by the Board, the candidate's name will be placed on the waiting list.
5. Membership shall then be automatic as vacancies occur.
6. Federation transfers:
a. Shall have the privilege of attending meetings as non-voting members as soon as they request membership in writing to the Membership Chair.
b. Shall move immediately to the top of the waiting list and fill the first vacancy in the membership.
