The Alcott Student Garden Committee will be offering students an opportunity to assist with filling the new garden beds with a “homemade” rich, organic soil mixture. A brief lesson and demonstration will be led by the Student Garden Coordinator in the classroom and then students will move to the garden to measure and mix soil components and add to the new raised beds. Activities will be taking place the weeks of April 29 and May 6. Any Concord Garden Club members who would like to participate as a lesson assistant should email firstname.lastname@example.org. All volunteers must fill out a CORI form in person at the Alcott Main Office, per district policy. CORIs may take up to 3 weeks to process, so it is important they are completed as soon as possible.
