Spring Outreach Workshop

Spring Basket Outreach Workshop
Wednesday, March 20, 2019
Tricon Church (lower level)
Next week’s meeting will be the Annual Spring Basket Workshop — we will be making colorful flower arrangements to brighten the days of many people in our community, including those who may be sick, infirmed, or Senior Citizens.  Anne Hrabchak has visited Wilson Farms and made a wonderful selection of fresh Spring flowers to put in the jars we got from Vanderhoof Hardware.  Each arrangement will be finished off with a beautiful butterfly from Sandra Conrad & NE Nurseries.
Kitsy and her group have compiled a list of 150 recipients, including some local reception areas.  This includes some group deliveries to Concord Park, Rivercrest, and Newbury Court.  We ask that each Garden Club member deliver at least 5 of these arrangements — “many hands make light work” and with so many delivery persons, we can complete this Community Outreach project in just one day!
Wear your Garden Club apron and bring some clippers and/or scissors for cutting flower stems.  Also please bring small boxes for transporting the arrangements (those for clementines are a perfect size).  A light lunch will be served by Head Hostesses Anne Umphrey and Pat Sinton & Team.
See you next week!
